When talking to owners about their cars, the first thing mentioned is when they bought the car. Then the story starts on how they found it, negotiated ownership, problems trying to get it home, restoration details and finally, the first outing. Many vehicles are similar to the one we had back when? High school, first date, Mom and Dad’s car—so it goes. These stories are priceless and all are of interest. Please take the time to write a story about your car with lots of pictures if possible—before and afters are great. Wendy is always in need of stories and articles, both personal and technical.

The 2009 Prescott Meet wrap-up will be in the September issue. This issue will be mailed from the printer about August 15. This should allow ample time for all the members to submit their pictures and stories to Wendy and for her to pull it all together. She took many pictures, but yours will help cover all the activities.
Don’t forget that there is a membership application printed in each issue of Runabouts to Rockets. When you finish reading each issue, please place the issue in the glove box of your car so you can share it with a non-member Olds owner at a show or cruise event. Photocopy the application or contact me and I will gladly send you a supply of applications that you can share with other car enthusiasts. There is also an application that can be down loaded from www.antiqueolds.org. Wendy does a super job in updating the web site for our enjoyment. Check it often.
